Welcome to the world of SEXX!

I grew up in a family where mom was the one who taught about sex. She did so honestly, openly, and forthright. I thought all women were taught with the same understanding. When I went to college, I had a shocking epiphany that not all women were taught about sex. Some parents were too shy, too scared, or just thought their kids would find out another way. Many kids did. Many girls did. And the ways they learned or things they learned were not always beneficial towards good health.
If a woman is not taught correctly about their body, it can be detrimental physically, emotionally, spiritually, socially, and even financially. This blog is to help those women never taught about sex from their parents, other trusting adult, or for those women just interested in increasing their knowledge about their bodies and health.
In April 2008, health groups approached Congress informing the findings that programs teaching U.S. schoolchildren to abstain from sex have not cut teen pregnancies or sexually transmitted diseases or delayed the age at which sex begins. Government statistics also show that one in four U.S. teenage girls has a sexually transmitted disease and 30 percent of U.S. girls become pregnant before the age of 20. With these statistics, it is apparant that more education has to be provided for young women. This blog provides that education.

I agree! The lack of knowledge about sex is especially ramped here at BYU. Women should know more about their bodies and not be embarrassed of its functions.

I like the idea of your blog and look forward to your posts! It is really crazy how many college girls don't know much about their own body.

I totally agree with you guys. The Mormon culture really needs to change their mentality and become more open minded to sex education in the home.Lack of sex education at home is causing so many regrettable experiences that can be so easily prevented just by talking about it.

I totally agree! We need to do whatever we can to start changing the Mormon culture mentality and become more open minded towards teaching sex to our children. So many prevented accidents occur because of lack of sex education at home

So true, education is the best form of prevention. It has been shown that comprihensive sex education is much more effactive than abstinence only or none at all. Like all things if you do not understand fully you cannot make important desicions in the best manner.
